Overview

JD Malat Gallery is pleased to announce a major new collaboration with Lebanese

artist Foad Hamzeh at The Lana – Dorchester Collection in Dubai, marking a

significant integration of art, architecture, and hospitality. Facilitated by JD Malat

Gallery, this site-specific installation brings together a series of monumental and

immersive sculptures placed throughout the hotel, transforming it into a dynamic

cultural environment.

Foad Hamzeh, also known as FH.Visual, is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice

bridges Arabic calligraphy and contemporary graffiti. With formal training in

classical scripts and a background from the American University in Dubai, he has

developed a distinctive visual language, including his own Arabic graffiti typeface,

FHV. His work is characterized by layered, sculptural compositions and the use of

dripping paint, symbolizing motion, fluidity, and the enduring resonance of

language. Through this approach, Hamzeh reinterprets tradition within a

contemporary, evolving context.
