Foad Hamzeh
Biography
Foad Hamzeh, (b. 1996, Lebanon) professionally known as FH.Visual continues to refine his multidisciplinary approach that bridges tradition and contemporary expression.
Hamzeh’s work is instantly recognisable through his fusion of Arabic calligraphy and graffiti, expressed through bold mixed-media compositions that blur the line between tradition and modernity. Rooted in formal training with calligraphy masters through which he learned classical scripts. Hamzeh ultimately created his own Arabic graffiti font, FHV, to give calligraphy a distinctly modern and personal twist. His pieces often repeat a single word or phrase to reinforce meaning, while the layered, sculptural forms of his lettering generate a striking three-dimensional effect that draws viewers into the work.
