JD Malat Gallery is pleased to participate in Art Miami 2026, presenting an international group of artists whose diverse practices explore the transformative potential of art, examining the relationship between gesture, materiality and identity. Bringing together Santiago Parra, Patrice Robert, Casper Brindle, Katrin Fridriks, Phoebe Leech, Hande Sekerciler, Darren Reid, Luis Olaso, Ur Kasin and Kojo Marfo, the presentation creates a dialogue between distinct artistic languages, united by a shared interest in the ways human experience and external forces shape our perception of reality.

Moving fluidly between abstraction and figuration, painting and sculpture, the selection considers transformation as both a physical and psychological process. Through Santiago Parra’s expressive gestural brushstrokes, Katrin Fridriks’ dynamic explorations of movement and energy, and Luis Olaso’s expressive colours, the canvas becomes a site of spontaneity and experimentation guided by intuition and the forces of nature.

Casper Brindle’s luminous surfaces and Patrice Robert’s distinctive monochrome canvases magnify on the exploration of perception, depth and colour.

Meanwhile, the figurative practices of Hande Sekerciler, Phoebe Leech, Ur Kasin and Kojo Marfo and Darren Reid express the complexities of identity, memory, the human condition and interaction with the surrounding, drawing on personal narratives and cultural references to create compelling visual worlds.

Together, these artists invite viewers to consider art as a continuous process of evolution: a space where instinct meets intention, and tradition encounters contemporary.
