JD Malat Gallery is delighted to announce a special collaboration between La Maison Ani and Kojo Marfo as part of Chelsea Art Festival 2025. The partnership brings together the artistry ofGhanaian-born, London-based artist Kojo Marfo (b.1980) with the culinary vision of Chef Izu’s celebrated restaurant, La Maison Ani.
For this occasion, Marfo presents eight bespoke paintings alongside a bronze sculpture, which will be placed throughout the restaurant from 8th September to 9th October. Each piece explores themes of resilience, reflection, and collective identity, central to Marfo’s practice. His works invite viewers to contemplate the interplay between vulnerability and strength, perception and truth, anchoring the collaboration within Marfo’s ongoing exploration of identity, spirituality, and the human condition.
This collaboration marks a seamless dialogue between art, food, and community, underscoringChelsea Art Festival’s celebration of cultural exchange and creative expression.
